SFTP

This integration will allow you to search for files in a SFTP (secure communication protocol) folder that you specify and upload them to your source automatically and unattended.

What is an integration? Integrations function as "bridges" that link Simetrik to a data source or destination, depending on whether it is an input or output integration, respectively.

Steps to perform an SFTP integration

Step 1. For this step you will have to indicate which source you want to integrate (if it already exists) or you will have to create a new one.

Then you will have to choose the type of integration, which in this case will be SFTP. When you select it, the list of topics to be taken into account for the successful configuration will be displayed.

Step 2 This step consists of configuring the access (which allows you to indicate "where" the information you want to integrate is located). You will have to choose between an existing access or create a new one. Here you must complete the configuration required for this type of connection.

The access data are:

• User

• Port

• Endpoint

• Password and/or Private Key

Step 3 In this step you must identify the file you want to integrate from the configured SFTP. In order to identify the file to integrate in the selected or created source you must complete the form that is divided into three questions.

Step 1/3: Where are your files located? Here you can select the root path or indicate the folders and subfolders where the files to be integrated into your source should be located.

Step 2/3: Which files do you want to upload to the source? In this step you must indicate a word found in the file and the file extension.

Step 3/3: Automation Here you must select which days and at what time you want us to look for the file in the indicated folder and how you want us to notify you about any inconvenience in your extraction process.

And that's it, you've configured the integration and the source will be loaded automatically as soon as you save the configuration!
