What is a source?

It is a database that is fed with multiple files that have the same structure, that is, files that have the same number of columns and contain the same type of information.

The sources are the main input to configure a reconciliation, so without them it will not be possible to execute your reconciliations in Simetrik.

The modifications that your files require can be made directly in the source, in this way, Simetrik will save them and the new files that you upload to your source will take this configuration automatically.

At this time, Simetrik reads files that come in the following table formats:

  • Excel (single sheet)

  • TXT

  • CSV

How to create a source?

Step 1 - Create a new source

To create a new source go to the Sources section and select the New Source button at the top right.

Step 2 - Name source

Assign a name to the source and click outside the window or press the Enter key to have the system save the information.

Step 3 - Add files

Go to File Manager and add the files that are going to be part of your source.

Additional functions
