Edit reconciliation

You can edit the settings for a reconciliation that you've confirmed. This will modify the automation from that point forward and allow you to keep the historical results.

Why edit a reconciliation?

After confirming a reconciliation, each time the resources involved in it are updated, it will run automatically. This opens the opportunity for finance teams to identify opportunities for improvement or corrections in their process.

In addition to this, the structure of third party reports or process requirements may change at any time.

This functionality will allow you to modify the way in which the automatic reconciliation is executed while keeping your historical results.

How to edit a reconciliation?

Step 1 - Choose the reconciliation you want to edit

Go to the reconciliations menu by clicking the Reconciliations button on the left sidebar. Once there, click the Edit button on the reconciliation you wish to modify.

Step 2 - Click on Configure Crossover

When you're in the reconciliation diagram, click the set crossover button .

Step 3 - Create a version with changes

In the crossover configuration section, you will see the Current Version of the reconciliation settings. Here you can click on the Create a version with changes tab.

In this view you can modify the sweeps and crossover keys you need to improve your process, just like you did the first time. You can see more about creating crossover keys here.

Step 4 - Save the new version

You will return to the reconciliation diagram where you can compare the reconciliation results of the current version and the version with changes.

You can see the results of each version by clicking on the tab corresponding to each one.

The records already reconciled in the current version will not change their status, the new rules apply only to future records and to those that were not reconciled under the previous rules.

If the new settings are correct, click Confirm Reconciliation.

Remember:

  • If you don't save the new version with changes, the reconciliation will continue to update applying the rules of the current version.

  • If you want the changes to be retroactive, you can create a new reconciliation or flush and reprocess after confirming the new settings.
